Hello there.
Today is the day. This is the day that the year two-thousand and fourteen officially ends and a new cycle of three-hundred and sixty-five days begin. I am actually really excited about this coming year. Seriously, it is 2015. It ends in a 5. How. Cool. Is. That? Okay, okay, I admit it. I am a little strange, but I like things that end in zeros and fives!
Anyway. . . I do not have a fantastic round-up post planned or an amazing year-end review of life. Instead, I have another dress to show you! I actually made this dress quite some time ago, but with all of the Christmas sewing and knitting that I have been doing, it is a wonder I accomplished anything! Introducing my Button-Up Pastille:

Dimples and Green Twirly Dress
Well, well, well.
Things have been quiet about this old blog of mine. I have been rather busy during the past month or so since I last posted. I decided that I was going to make the majority of my Christmas gifts this year. A brilliant idea I know, except for the fact that I did not start making anything until about mid November. Now a normal person would think that that would be plenty of time to complete a few different projects. As we all know, I am not a normal person. I decided to begin knitting two unnamed objects which were both rather large undertakings.
Add to that the fact that I decided to make Photographer Sister and myself some semi-matching Christmas dresses. We did not decide upon the pattern until about a week ago. Then I had to sew up some test versions and we both had to wear them to see how we liked the fit. Plus I am sewing a bag for each of my little brothers (there are four) and finishing up Dolly's Christmas dress. To sum it up, I have been rather preoccupied. Thankfully I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I have finished everything except for the aforementioned Christmas dresses, (which I will be working on today) one other project, and adding the finishing touches (buttons, blocking and weaving in ends) to the knitting projects.
I am planning a Christmas dresses post, Christmas presents (my gifts to others) post, and possibly a Black Friday/Birthday/Christmas presents (to me) "haul" post or vlog.

Cherries and Fall Leaves
Hello,
Cherries + Leaves + Jumper + Dolly = Cute! Here is another outfit I made for Dolly. Actually, this cherry jumper was the first top that I made. It was just a trial run to make sure that it would be satisfactory for my mum. Needless to say, she considered it acceptable.

Mustard And Grey
Howdy, howdy!
Here is another dress that I made a bit ago, but, due to the lack of the correct thread color, I have just now finished it.

Green and Cream Pastille Dress
I have two projects to show you today: The Colette Pastille Dress, and the Miette Cardigan! I finished this cardigan up a while ago, but never managed to blog about it. Therefore, you get two projects for the price of one!

Falling Leaves Jumper
Hello All,
Today I have something a little different to show you. With the progression of my sewing skills, I find myself called upon to use them for the benefit of my family. I do random repairs and make requested garment when needed. This season, my amateur expertise has been required to craft my littlest sister's fall wardrobe (excluding t-shirts and undergarments).
Therefore, I have decided to do a blog series called Little Dreamer's Wardrobe. If you do not care to peruse the posts devoted to toddler clothes, have no fear, this is not going to cause a cessation of regular sewing posts. I actually have a couple more blog posts in the works. For now, I introduce you to the Falling Leaves Jumper and my little sister who; hereafter, shall be referred to as: Dolly.

Gypsy Palazzo Trousers
I am currently very busy with various sewing projects, so instead of a new make, here is a pair of palazzo trousers that I made for Photographer Sister quite a while ago:

Home Decor Projects and Sewing Plans
Hello!
I am going to show you a few projects I have been working on recently. There are no new garments to display, but I recently finished two or three things for my dear mum.
First, a scrappy pillow cover:

One-Week-One-Pattern
Hello!
I participated in One-Week-One-Pattern this past week. (For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, you can look at Miss Jane's post.) When I first saw OWOP I did not read the details very closely and therefore I thought that we were supposed to be sewing a new outfit from the same pattern every day! I knew that I could not do that so I ignored it. Then when I saw all the lovely giveaways that only participants of OWOP could enter I thought, "Hey, I'm going to go check that out again!" I am glad I did. I had a lot of fun with this, with or without giveaway opportunitues! I chose Simplicity 1460 as my pattern for this week. (Surprise, surprise.) Without further adieu, here are my pictures:
Day 1:
Simplicity 1460 bodice with a half circle skirt.
When I originally made this dress I took my length of skirt fabric and gathered it and simply attached the whole thing to the bodice. Needless to say, it did not work out too well. The length of the skirt was not the most flattering, what's more, I just did not like it. (Unfortunately I do not have any "before" pictures.) I knew I had to change the skirt and OWOP was the final shove to fix it up. I simply took the old skirt off and cut out a half circle skirt.

A Profitable Day and Blog Changes
Hello Friends,
After an extended break from posting, I have returned. Did you notice the new blog title and design? The previous entirety of my blog felt quite limiting because I was trying so hard to be like all of the other amazing sewing bloggers. I wanted desperately to be an instant success and have everyone like and appreciate me. Selfish? Yes. Narcissistic? Definitely. Permanent? No. After some "soul searching" and an extended period of stalking various blogs, (My blog reading list is well over fifty. I am a blog fangirl!) immersing myself in Pinterest, pretending that every one of the fabulous girls who I follow knows me and that we are all dear friends, and lots, and lots of laughing at GIF's and Tom Hiddleston, I have come to a final conclusion: I want to write a wholesome, hopefully humorous, and completely "me" blog that delves not only into the world of handicrafts, but also fangirling, (if I feel like it. . .) and expressing my opinions on various topics that interest and inspire me. Thus a new blog design and name. For whatever reason, this new title and look gives me a fresh perspective that makes me want to write. That said: this blog will still primarily focus on various crafts, (e.g. knitting, sewing, crocheting, watercolor? and possibly piano) but I should like to do an occasional book, movie, or TV show review, or simply express my appreciation about something. Here's hoping!

Guess. What. I am now the proud possessor of a typewriter!

Excuses for a Late Post
Howdy all!
I have been feeling very uninspired in the sewing department, so apart from a little bit of work on some trousers for my sister and a minor repair for my dad, I have done absolutely nothing in that area.

Floral Knit Skirt
Hello Everybody!
It has been much, much too long since I last posted! Where has time gone? I ended up finishing out Me-Made-May, but. . . I stopped taking pictures for the last week or so. It was a big hassle and very annoying to try and remember picture taking every day. Hopefully I'll do better next year!
Moving on. I have a plan. I decided that Wednesday is going to be my official "posting" day; that way I can try to be a little more organized. After all, quality goes before quantity!
The last week of May I ended up finishing three or so projects. Here is the first of them:

Me-Made-May Days 9 - 11
Howdy Folks,
How have you all been doing? I have a compilation of MMM days for you. Since I have worn pretty much all of my homemade items, I can only repeat said clothes, (until I make some more!) so. . .
Day 9:
We took these rather late which is why they are a little blurry. This is my red circle skirt that I wore on Day 1. This time I paired it with a thrifted tee that I got a few weeks ago.

Row of White Buttons Dress: Simplicity 1460 Pattern Hack
Circle Skirt and Ponytail: Me-Made-May Day 6
Well. . . This was not one of my favorite days. I was feeling the affects of not being totally enthralled with my outfit. I dislike the shirt because it does not suit me. It exaggerated certain body parts that I did not want to be exaggerated. . . Yeah, this was more of a blah day.

Purple Floral Knit Skirt
Me-Made-May Day 5. This outfit actually exceeded my expectations: It became my second favorite outfit that I've worn so far!

Me-Made-May: 2014
Hello Everybody!
After silently "stalking" countless sewing blogs for an extended period of time, I have decided to join the ranks of amazing sewing bloggers who managed to inspire and silently "befriend" me. I have concluded that Me-Made-May is the perfect opportunity for beginning this journey.
